FIX THE MIX CAREER WORKSHOPS
Join We Are Moving The Needle on Friday, November 6 at 3pm EST for a conversation with Ramera Abraham, a London-based vocal producer, songwriter, and recording engineer.
Growing up in the Philippines, Ramera was classically trained in piano, vocals, and drums. Upon receiving her undergraduate degree in Canada, she moved to London, where she pursued an Advanced Diploma in Sound Engineering and Music Production from the illustrious Abbey Road Institute. After school, she earned a residency at Spotify’s Noteable studios, where she began working with high level clients. Following this, she became an assistant engineer at Metropolis Studios, where she worked with artists such as Adele, Jess Glynne, Nick Cave & Warren Ellis, Little Mix, MNEK, Sam Fender, Wizkid, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Inflo, and Elton John.
She now works in freelance engineering and vocal production, where her work has resulted in her inclusion of SheSaid. So’s Alternative Power 100 List 2021. She has also won the Music Producers Guild’s Vocal Producer of the Year Award 2023, and was one of three short-listed nominees for the MPG’s Recording Engineer of the Year 2024. Additionally, she was featured in Sound On Sound’s September 2023 and 2024 issues as a change maker in the music industry, and contributed an article on her vocal production process.
