Join We Are Moving The Needle for a conversation with Bryn Bliska, an LA-based musician, producer, and musical director whose work spans live performance, production, composition, and sound design. We’ll explore how Bryn has built a multifaceted career working across genres and with artists including Chappell Roan, Maggie Rogers, Jacob Collier, FKA twigs, and Olivia Rodrigo, as well as her path from jazz training to working as a composer, producer, and professional musician. The conversation will also dig into what it takes to build a career as a professional musician, navigate multiple creative roles, and use your work to amplify underrepresented voices.
Our Speaker:
Bryn Bliska is an LA-based musician, producer and musical director. Her sound merges a childhood soundtracked by '90s pop and R&B jams with her jazz training and affinity for technology. Her creative mission is to support historically marginalized and underrepresented people and to amplify their sounds and stories.
Bryn frequently collaborates with artists & producers across many genres, including Chappell Roan, Maggie Rogers, Jacob Collier, FKA Twigs, Karol G, Olivia Rodrigo, Rozzi, Rebecca Black, Lawrence, Cara Delevigne, Sofi Tukker, Luis Fonsi, Ben Platt, Ryan Beatty, Jackson Wang, Angelica Garcia, Tegan & Sara, YUNGBLUD, Dylan Mulvaney, and Ruth B.
She has scored video & podcast projects for the New York Times, NPR, and the Getty Museum and received the ASCAP Young Jazz Composer Award. She also composes for advertising and sound designs for companies including Splice, Nord Keyboards, Soundtoys, Arturia, Roland, Softube and Reason Studios.
