6 Scholarships
Mixing Lab with Philip Weinrobe
We Are Moving The Needle is proud to partner with School of Song to offer six scholarships to their Virtual Mixing Lab: Achieving Sonic and Emotional Clarity with Philip Weinrobe, starting November 3rd.
Phil—known for his work with Adrianne Lenker, Billie Marten, Lonnie Holley, Florist, Hand Habits, Cass McCombs, and more—will guide participants through his mixing process in real time, using four songs “from-scratch”. Students will receive stems, create their own mixes, and share them for feedback.
The course covers workflow, narrative arc, emotional dynamics, and advanced techniques like sidechain, parallel processing, harmonic distortion, compression, automation, and transient shaping. Each week includes Q&As, office hours, and “Mix Buddy” feedback exchanges to foster collaboration.
Open to anyone with DAW experience, this class is designed to expand your skills, whether you’re a beginner or a pro.
