Gather with fellow students from across the country to learn from the best, and grow your network. The heart of this year’s program are small group mentorship sessions with influential women from across the industry, offering meaningful opportunities to connect with leaders as they discuss building their careers, tackling gender bias, imposter syndrome, and defining their personal brands. We Are Moving The Needle’s experienced mentors—successful artists, producers, engineers, and industry professionals—will share valuable stories and experiences, shedding light on the obstacles they encountered and conquered on their paths to success.

The conference will take place virtually on Friday, September 13, 2024 Registration is free and is open to undergraduate and graduate students of colleges and universities; current students and recent graduates from We Are Moving The Needle partner programs like LAAMP, Mix With The Masters, IO Academy and Blackbird Academy; and early career professionals with less than 2 years of professional experience.

Keynote Discussion
Our Summit kicks off with an inspirational keynote conversation hosted by Grammy-award-winning mastering engineer and We Are Moving The Needle founder Emily Lazar. This group of premier producers and engineers will dive into the essence of their craft and discuss everything from their favorite plugins to the snacks that keep them going on late nights in the studio. These experts will share stories and advice on refining your skills, building your brand, and fostering meaningful collaborations.

Small Group Mentorship Roundtables
Ever had a question that you just weren’t sure how to ask? Building a career as a woman or non-binary creator isn’t always easy—our communities keep us going and growing. These small group mentorship sessions will provide space for honest conversations and network-building. Our We Are Moving The Needle mentors will share insights from their career journeys and speak candidly on the obstacles they’ve faced and the successes they’ve had along the way.
